Indonesia Jeneponto power plant, also known Punagaya power station or PLTU Jeneponto, is a 250 Megawatt coal-fired power station and is one of the coal-fired steam power plants with large capacities, located in the eastern part of Indonesia. The Jeneponto power plant is located in the Butaguntung area of Desa Punagaya, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. It belongs to PT Bosowa Energi and was undertaken by China Chengda in the mode of turn-key contracting. It accounts for one-third of South Sulawesi’s power, solving the power shortage in South Sulawesi’s greatly.
Owing to the fact that this project is of utmost importance, and the need to ensure that there is no hindrance in the power plant’s working, FG Wilson diesel generator sets have been supplied to the power plant in two phases to power the project.
After two years of Asia Pacific Power Electric’s first supply for this project, the EPC prime contractor placed a second order for the same project. FG Wilson engineers worked with project engineers to figure out the best configuration and combination to suit the exact needs and specifications of the Jeneponto power plant. The total supply has been set up in such a way that it ensures that the FG Wilson diesel generator sets are enabled as soon as the mains fail.
This project is a true testament to the dedication and efforts that our team puts in, to uphold the trust and quality that comes with choosing an FG Wilson generator.
